I’m loving it. Best political news in years. Woo-hoo!

Hi Neil………..Thanks for stopping by. I think she is a good idea for McCain. Obviously good management experience but light on Foreign Affairs, though every reason to believe her Foreing Affairs credentials are at least as good as Obamas, with a little more sober political philosophy……….steve

M2……….No not yet, waiting for the first VP debate. Don’t laugh………you’ll be shocked………steve

The Governor of Alaska? A Hockey Mom, two years in? Really?

    Geez… Glad to see a female & all but…

& Biden can’t win that useless debate regardless.

Glad to see all you ultra rights happy but you’re not the ones that matter…

M2………I agree about the debate. I’m just glad that we have our “OJT” candidate at the bottom of the ticket, even though she has a lot more executive experience than BHO and Biden combined. Oh and did you notice the subtle lie Bubba told in his speech when he said “the Republicans will tell you that BHO has no experience……….” Excuse me, but we had that hammered home way before we thought he was a viable candidate by HRc and especially Biden who used the T word to discuss Obama’s election. He said it would be a TRAGEDY to have such inexperience in an OJT position as President. When questioned about it in another forum he said he stood by his words and repeated in TV interviews as well. At the same time both HRc and Biden praised the qualifications of McCain (whom you know I hate) over BHO.

I wrote before on this blog (when it was irrelevant) about Biden not just voting for the war, but was aligned with the view of McCain when he complained openly for months and months about Bush not committing enough troops to the war. At one point I heard him level that charge one week, the next week announced for the Presidency (you know when he said that BHO was an articulate, bright, crisp and clean African American) and then vote against the Surge. Wait a minute, he had been arguing for a troop enhancement up to that point, but he knew by then a Democratic Presidential Candidate would not be viable this time around being pro Iraqi war.

Here is the most interesting thing about Biden. His claim to Foreign Affairs expertise for the previous 4 years (up to the surge) was manifested with his idea to Partition Iraq between the Kurds, Sunni and Shia. He said and this is a quote equivalent. These groups will NEVER get along and we must put them in separate corners. Well his great foreign affairs experience led to (as BHO uses the language) error on his vote to go to war, error on plan to enhance the troops, and error on the inability of Iraq to work things out politically and partitioning. Now we see an Iraq where we are winning and will win the war (thank you Mr. Reed & Ms Pelosi) the Iraqi’s are reaching a political rapprochement and even has a working and workable revenue sharing arrangement (draft) on the table and operating successfully all made possible by the surge and Petraeus’ counter insergent strategies (you know Gen BETRAYUS).

So I guess Biden hit the trifecta on errors on the war since he caved to the left and MoveOn crowd such as Hillary after her similar path with the proffering of her arguments to Code Pink why we should not set a withdrawal timetable. One thing you can’t say about Bush is that he hasn’t stuck to his views on the war on Terrorism regardless of the Political Consequences (Such as BHO and to his credit though he is talking more and more about not withdrawing so fast) as opposed to Biden and Clinton…………..steve

I think that the “ultra rights” do matter in the election equation.
I’ve seen quite a few articles detailing the lack of McCain’s “ground
game” compared to Obama’s - or even Bush’s 4 years ago. The base
was tolerant of McCain but not going door to door for him. The get
out the vote effort will be critical if the race stays close and I think
McCain just gave alot of conservatives the adrenaline they needed.

Erston, not being a McCain lover, it is certanially true that he energized the base, something that the left has been counting against……..steve

As to Biden’s foreign policy creds - he was one of the senators,
as well as Kerry, who had the distinction of voting against Gulf
War 1 and for Use of Force in Iraq. A far more intellectually logical
and consistent position would have been the reverse. Kind of like
saying he actually voted for murderous tyrants before he voted
against them. Maybe Joe is the poor man’s version of John Kerry.

Erston……….and of course we all know why. The Democrats didn’t want to be caught coddling terrorists after 911 and they had to make good on their rheoteric of the late 90’s passing a public law calling for regieme change in Iraq and signed by Clinton. They always make decisions on seminal issues on the basis of their political fortunes……..hence HRc and Biden vote for the war, call for more troops, argue against a withdrawal timeline and then when they run for President and find that MoveOn is calling the shots, repudiate it all and blame George Bush because of Yellowcake (that we now found in Iraq by the hundreds of tons)…………………….steve

    Alaska has 600,000 people…
LA County (”county”) has nearly 10 million & I wouldn’t have the mayor of Los Angeles 2nd in command no matter how long he’s been an NRA member or how many kids he’s got.

Are you saying that Villaraigosa is not qualified to be Vice President? I might agree, but not because he was only a mayor, take Giuliani.

You guys keep doing your best to digest this one… For a generation now, you’ve had that “marching to the beat of the same drummer” thing down & the rhetoric (see above) accompanying this selection is no different.
    It’s not a move that’s “best for the country” - a supposed McCain ideal - & it’s not a candidate he’s familiar with at all…

If it keeps Obamanomics from ever gracing this country it is the “best for the country” in my opinion.

It’s a hail mary pass that you are all diving in the end zone & fighting over to catch for him.

agreed that it is a Hail Mary

This selection says a whole lot about his candidacy… Rally the base & reel in some PUMAS… Good luck.
Again, I’m very happy it’s a woman… 2008 & the good ol’ boys are finally attempting to appear progressive (without much choice, as usual).

There has been a lot said about the Obama candidacy of late also. Broke Pledge on Public Financing of campaign, can’t admit when we are winning a war, which says a whole lot about his interest in what is best for the country versus his campaign. Regular Democratic half truth and outright lie class envy politics. Instead of change goes with Washington insider. And less experienced and qualified for the #2 slot not to mention #1 slot than someone with the executive experience of a large city such as your example LA. What, community organizer? A community of something south of 600,000 I presume. :)

McCain will win in November… I have very little doubt about that!

    Dunno

I Think people need to get away from main stream media that relies on advertising dollars and use the power of the net to seek the truth.

This is a great blog, keep the faith. You may want to check out the article Osama for Osama for Obama!! Donor Exposed - Flagged by FEC as well as the article where Obama orders FBI to slap a Sheriff for saying his middle name at a Palin event. His middle name is “Hussein”.
