You 24 TV Series Fans (Season Seven)

cherry-jones.jpgjack-bauer.jpg The 7th season returns this coming January with Cherry Jones playing Allison Taylor as the President of the United States.  And if that isn’t news enough, they have announced that 24 is going carbon neutral.  But if everyone goes carbon neutral, who’ll be around to sell their credits to the Hollywood bunch……oh never mind.

Rumors have it that the 7th season plot concerns Quebec Separatists featured in a negative way.  I guess Quebec’s Bloc Quebecois political party whose prime mandate is to have Quebec separate from Canada is not too happy about being depicted as terrorists or in a bad light. Well anyway, I love 24 just the same.  They can expose all the terrorists in the world as far as I am concerned.  After all that is how the White House is learning to deal with them.  They could take a page from Jack Bauer.

    Hi Steve,

What a small world it is. Not only was I just reading about this, but I attended high school with Cherry. I did the stage lighting for a couple of plays where she was the star. She was brilliant back then, and I’ve been tickled for years to see her get even better.

    Hi Grit,

Small world isn’t it. Are you a 24 fan? I looked up your friend and they call her the Best Theater Actress in America. HERE …..steve

I agree with the previous comment - Quebec Separatists? That is so lame. With all the stuff going on in the world that’s the best storyline they can come up with? Ootside of Canada, does anyone really pay much attention to Quebec Seperatists? Never seen this show (not a big fan of tv in general, I guess), but seems like they’re scraping the bottom of le barrel for show topics. Sounds like a death knell announcement. Quebec Seperatists. Puh-leeez. How ultra-weak.

plodon……….”sounds like a death knell announcement.” You might be right here, hope not. Last year had some real problems in the latter half of the year. You would hope they would straighten it out this year……..steve

    Hi Steve,

A 24 fan I am not. Nothing against the show, it’s more a matter of my schedule. I try not to get involved in series that require me to watch every week to follow them, since it is almost certain that I will miss an episode or three. When it comes out on CD, I’ll catch up :)

    the Grit

    Hi Grit,

I used to never watch TV series myself, but by accident watched a DVD of the first episode of Season 1 and ended up watching all 24 episodes over the next 3 days. Got hooked. I didn’t want to get tied down either. Seems all that programing was opposite the News (24/7). But now thankfully for TIVO I can have it both ways…………steve

Lol Steve — I think that’s what happened to Tieki Rae. Then, she goes and gets us hooked! The nerve ;)

Tammi….Yep, we are still hooked and glued to the Big Screen when it is on……….You better not come in the room and start talking at that time…… :) …….steve
