DNC Threatens the FreeRepublic (Ha)
The DNC (Democratic National Committee) has issued a threat to the FreeRepublic website from their Lawyers because one indicated “freeper” who goes by the user name of “Coffee 260” published a report with the information taken from an XM Satellite Radio Show titled “Quinn & Rose” show. On that show it was stated (with reliable sources according to the commentator) that the morning after the Tornado in Kansas that Howard Dean called the Democratic Governor Kathleen Sebelius to discuss “talking points” about the tornado and how they could use it to make Bush look bad and blame it on him. Well everyone knows that she didn’t waste much time blaming the war in Iraq for the lack of equipment to respond to the emergency. [But you see the equipment has been in Iraq for the past few years and it is the states responsibility to prepare for their own disasters.]
But it seem the law firm of Sandle, Reiff and Young are trying to lean on the FreeRepublic for simply quoting a published report. So in the end they have no case against the FreeRepublic, but they probably believe it will be easier to intimidate Jim Robinson over at the Free Republic than XM Satellite Radio. What ever they think, it is not working. The boys on this thread seem to find it quite hilarious. The big beef of the DNC is that no one at the FreeRepublic called the DNC to confirm the report before going forward.
So lets see, you call the DNC and the telephone receptionists answers the phone and you ask, we heard that Howard Dean called Kathleen Sabelius after the tornado to plan “politicizing” the tornado and blaming Bush……..Is that true? Yeah, like they would be a reliable source and admit it if they had. For my money I’ll just go with the statement made on the Quinn & Rose show that they have impeccable sources on this (just like you hear on ABC, NBC and CBS) since the follow through by Sebelius was right on cue with the alleged Dean program.

Hi s,
Well, it’s obviously Bush’s fault. He used black magic to summon that tornado, just like he used his fiendish power to bring Katrina down on the poor people of New Orleans.
the Grit
Hi Grit,
Actually regarding Katrina he used that power to bring Katrina down on the Poor Black People of New Orleans..
I’m not sure which is more pathetic - that the DNC demonizes Bush for Katrina, Kansas, etc. or that people actually believe it. I hope the truth about the DNC influence comes out.
That cracked me up! I guess we better figure out what the DNC phone number is before future posts.
For what it’s worth, HotAir had a huge thread going on this last week. They’ve pretty much debunked that any phone calls took place. Yet, I’m still skeptical when it comes to those demonRats.
wytammic,
I’d like to read that thread on HotAir, do you have the link?
crazy
Sorry Steve, I’ve been out mowing and all that fun stuff. Here’s the HotAir link you requested.
That people actually believe it.
“Who’s more foolish: the fool, or the fool who follows him?”
the character Obi-Wan Kenobi in the movie Star Wars
(somehow a quote from a fake character seemed appropriate because of the people being discussed)
plodon,
Good points
yep, i agree with plodon….definitely worse that people believe it. why would groups like the DNC stop accusing him if people are bying it? it works.
i used to believe that american’s in general weren’t stupid…was i STUPID for believing that?
Heidi Jo,
Americans aren’t stupid, but looks like they can sure be gullible.
Isn’t everything Bush’s fault?
Wait, which talking points are we on today. Is this a day where we laugh about how he is stupid and incompetent and not smart enough to tie his own shoes.
Or is this one of those days where we claim he is an evil genius capable of planning the most ridiculous complicated conspiracy (9/11) in the history of ridiculously complicated conspiracies?
I don’t know what to believe…lol.
TT,
The answer is obvious. He is a Jeckle/Hyde personality. Wouldn’t those guys at the DU realy get into this thread as it is developing?
