Mission Accomplished
Yesterday Hillary Clinton again took the opportunity to denounce President Bush for what has been called his “Mission Accomplished” speech without noting that the reason for the mission was even necessary because her husband coddled the terrorists throughout his Presidency and failed to act against bin Laden when offered thus enabling the execution of the long term plan to train terrorist in America to fly aircraft into our landmarks.
But apparently she is saying “Mission NOT Accomplished.” If I were a member of the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1st 2003 when the President flew to the aircraft carrier to greet the returning naval troops from Iraq upon completing a 209 day deployment (longest in U.S. Naval history) I would be extremely upset and offended. This was a welcoming and honoring effort by President Bush to thank the sailors for their role in “completing” the fall of Baghdad. You see they had been given a mission and Read more
Howard Dean Flexing His Muscle
This is too good to ignore. In a hot off the press AP release Howard Dean said that he will punish Florida (my part year residency state) if they move their primary up. I guess this is going to be the opportunity for Dean to demonstrate his prestige and influence by threatening to keep Democratic candidates out of Florida and presumably other sanctions. Being that Florida is most definitely an “iffy” state for the Democrats and they can’t likely win without it all I can say to Howard is if you want a war with Florida then I have 3 words for you………”Bring it On”
Not only will Florida be punished if it moves up its presidential primary, but Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said any Democratic candidate who steps foot in the state will be too. Dean acknowledges that Florida is the state most likely to jump ahead of states like California and New York, which are moving up to the Feb. 5 primary, but it, and any other state, will do so at a cost. He said he supports a Jan. 19 caucus in Nevada and a Jan. 29 primary in South Carolina because it adds more diversity to the process. Florida lawmakers make a similar argument. The state has a mix of cultures, ethnicity and race; urban and rural areas; and Southerners and transplants from the north that make it look much like the country as a whole. That, and its size they say, should give it more say in deciding the presidency.” © 2007 Associated Press.
Presidential Politics - 2
Barack Hussein Obama, the man that nobody knew (even Teddy Kennedy misspoke and called him Osama Obama), has now closed to within 5 points of Hillary Clinton in a Wall Street Journal/NBC poll released on Wednesday (4/25/07). Just one month ago Hillary’s lead was 12 points. Other recent polls seem to at least corroborate this finding. USA/Today has Barack only 5 behind and Rasmussen has it all tied up. If she has to commit large sums of money to the Primary Campaign it could impact and potentially alter her hopes to waive Federal Presidential Campaign Financing and underwrite the Presidential campaign herself, which would remove her from expenditure limitations. But other early indicators suggest that this could all be moot.
Though it is very early in the process, additional recent polls show Giuliani leading both Obama and Clinton by comfortable margins in 3 key states: Ohio, Florida (you remember these) and Pennsylvania. I’ll just say this right now; if the Republicans carry OH, FL & PA in 2008 they will win the Presidency. Remember Bush carried OH and FL and lost PA in both the 2000 & 2004 elections. Also, a Giuliani candidacy could make NY competitive forcing Read more
Presidential Politics - 1
Well they’re off and running. Last night the Democrats held their first debate leading to their nomination for the 2008 election. Participating in the Debate were:
Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Edwards, Gravel, Kucinich, Obama & Richardson
Here are some comments from this extraordinarily brilliant group:
“The first day I would get us out of Iraq by diplomacy,” Bill Richardson.
“If this president does not get us out of Iraq, when I am president, I will,” Hillary Rodham Clinton.
We are one signature away from ending this war,” Barack Obama.
Kucinich challenged Obama at one point for once having said all options were on the table with respect to Iran. “You’re setting the stage for another war.”
The Carbon Credit Scam
Fiona Harvey and Stephen Fidler in London writing for the Financial Times published Wednesday (April 25, 2007) an article titled: Industry Caught in Carbon ‘Smokescreen.‘ This is an article about “carbon credits” that the likes of algore and his Hollywood buddies are “purchasing” to provide cover as they continue to be some of the largest offenders on the planet all while complaining about the rest of us damaging the environment and contributing to what they call “man made” Global Warming. You see they can lecture us about Global Warming because they claim they have a “carbon neutral” footprint.
Allow me to digress right here and ask this: even if it were true and they actually had a “carbon neutral” footprint what good would that do since I though it was necessary for us to REDUCE greenhouse gases in order to save Read more
The Missing Honey Bees
Honey Bees are missing by the billions and pollination accounts for 1/3 of the human diet. Some think it is cell phone towers but another seems to know what he’s talking about and blames it on the increase of solar radiation which he feels is proof that the same solar radiation is primarily responsible for Global Warming. Makes more sense to me than algore or Sheryl Crow. I have listened to much discussion on the topic and have heard “out of favor” experts claim that to the extent that Global Warming exists is due to increased Read more
The Queen of Nice
So the Queen of Nice is at it again. Now that she doesn’t have to pretend any longer to be something she isn’t, she isn’t bothering with it. Do you want your daughters going to an outing like this when they are merely examining career options? This doesn’t begin to address the double standard in the media where it will protect its liberal darlings for the same things they criticize others for and demand their heads.
From NewsMax.Com
Don Imus gets fired for one unfortunate remark. Rosie O’Donnell uses the F-word and grabs her crotch when she emcees a gala awards presentation, even though there are teenage girls on hand – and gets applauded. The event was the Matrix Awards honoring New York’s prominent women in the media, held Monday afternoon at Manhattan’s Waldorf-Astoria. After the show Beth Ellen Keyes, managing director of the group sponsoring the affair, N.Y. Women in Communications, said in an e-mail: “Rosie was fabulous.” Not everyone would agree. According to the New York Post’s Page Six column, Barbara Walters “lowered her head on the dais and covered her face with her hand” when Rosie dropped the F-bomb. O’Donnell ended a rant about Donald Trump by grabbing her crotch and shouting, “Eat me!” One attendee told the Post: “I cringed and dove under the table when she said, ‘Eat me.’” She also called Trump an “old, bald billionaire” and made a crude reference to his private parts.
“I was offended by how vulgar and common O’Donnell was,” said Robert Zimmerman, a Democratic activist. “It was especially inappropriate with young people present.”
Attendees include 17 high school girls who won scholarship to pursue careers in the media.
Also on hand: Media mogul Rupert Murdoch and Sen. Hillary Clinton.”
Are you Pro-Choice? (on Retirement Planning)
The beat goes on. After decades the political apparatus in this country has continued to fail concerning the bankrupt and obsolete retirement system. I read posts and hear speeches and sermons about how little people have to live off from their “Social Security” checks and what is a “caring and socially conscience society” going to do about it (on both the corporate and individual level), but I never hear the socially aware say anything about the fact that the original proponents of the Social Security System designed it to be a “supplement” to retirement income and never expected to be a full retirement system, but you have heard that before. They still continue to ignore this because of the greater problem of caring for the elderly (which I am rapidly approaching myself, but no faster than you, just probably much closer) and the impact on society of ignoring it. If this is a boring topic for you, think again, this will indeed affect you adversely more and much more than you would ever believe and the younger you are (and farthest away from retirement) the greater the negative impact will be. The problem is the solution has been taken off the table by the left and made Read more
Barack Hussein Obama - “Kingmaker”
There is something to be said about saying something early or maybe even first. If you are right you have such insight, but if you are wrong well then you are just plain WRONG. But at the risk of being WRONG I will venture out here a bit and offer a scenario that I believe has a high probability of coming to fruition.
First, as you have most likely already read, Al Gore is clandestinely forming a campaign management team. I think he is going to run. I read one blogger say sometime ago that once you have run for President that nothing else quite measures up. So lets say that this now makes three contenders in the Democratic Presidential sweepstakes (Barack Obama, H. Clinton and Algore). You see I think that Edwards, Richardson and any of the others (announced and unannounced) are merely pretenders not Read more
Anti-Jihadist
I just came across a Blog that is a pretty aggressive and strong voice against Jihadist Islam. You might want to check it out: Foehammer’s Anvil. He had a very appropriate verse reference for the site, it could be a tagline. “They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.” (words of Jesus in John 16:2)
The Radical Muslim blog is strongly pro-Islamic and seemingly equally active in their pursuit against those that wish to fight against Jihad which just came to me via Conversations with Brit and Grit and comments by Foehammer’s Anvil. You might want to check Foehammer’s Anvil out. You’ll find a link in my Blogroll…
